Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Stephen Mullins--Dr. Stephen Mullins is our lead eye doctor, and an experienced and trusted optometrist in Cookeville. Graduating Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2007, Dr. Mullins also has a graduate degree in Biology from Samford University in Birmingham, AL.

He is involved in the optometry community at the professional level, serving as president of the Upper Cumberland Optometric Physicianns Society. In addition, he is also a member of the Tennessee Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. As someone who loves the Cookeville community, he is also involved in local programs, such as being a member of the Cookeville Noon Rotary Club, and serving on the board of the Heart of Cumberland.

Dr. Ralph H. Mullins--Dr. Ralph Mullins graduated from Tennessee Technological University before graduating in 1977 from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. His professional activities include being a member of the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Optometric Association, the Tennessee Academy of Optometry, and the Upper Cumberland Optometric Society. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and raising Angus cattle.

Dr. Deanna Apple--Dr. Deanna Apple is an honors graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 2012. She was valedictorian of her high school graduating class in 2003. Her undergraduate degree is from Tennessee Tech University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science Biology.

Dr. Apple's professional activities include being a member of the Upper Cumberland Optometric Physicians Society, the Tennessee Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.

In her spare time, she enjoys being physically active in athletic events, and attending church activities with her family.
